Securitas USA is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time shift in Duluth, MN. You will protect people, property, and assets by patrolling, monitoring, access control, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe environment.

The role requires at least a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently. Prior security or military experience is a plus, with a commitment to safety and customer service.

Security Officer - Part Time

Site Location: Duluth, MN

Wage: $16.85/Hour

Schedule: Sun, Mon 11p-7a (16 hours)

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

What Your Day May Look Like

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.




• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.




• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.




• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.




• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.




• High School Diploma or GED required.




• Above average computer / technology skills needed.




• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!




• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.




• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.




• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.




• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
