Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for an Overnight Utility Center Patrol in Escondido, CA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, verify access, and respond to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service to employees and visitors.

Position is full-time with a night shift schedule and pay rate of $19.50 per hour. The role requires you to maintain a visible security presence, complete incident reports, and work within site procedures to deter security-related activity.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
