Job Description

As a Security Officer in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a professional presence that helps deter incidents. You will communicate with visitors, employees, and delivery personnel while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, maintain visitor and vehicle access records, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and logs for daily activities, incidents, access-control events, and observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
