Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Goldsboro, NC. You will provide security services, patrol the retail property, and assist with access control while delivering excellent customer service to tenants, shoppers, and staff.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and drug screen where permitted by law. This is a full-time on-site role with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour.

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unwanted activity.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor for security-related concerns such as unauthorized access, property damage, suspicious activity, and hazards, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, traffic flow, and direction-giving for shoppers and visitors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
