Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Guard Patrol in Wilson, NC to safeguard clients across multiple industries and maintain a visible, welcoming environment. You will monitor facilities, deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while following site procedures.

The role emphasizes professional communication, routine patrols, and timely reporting of security events.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access concerns or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; provide assistance within the scope of post orders and notify emergency services and/or site contacts as required.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
