Job summary

Covenant Living at Cromwell is seeking a Security Officer (overnight, part-time) to help create a safe, welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will patrol buildings and grounds, respond to emergencies, monitor access, and coordinate with on-call responders while maintaining a calm and professional presence.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and strong observational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas to ensure a safe and secure campus.
• Respond promptly to resident emergency calls and security-related incidents.
• Coordinate with on-call personnel and emergency responders when needed, including contacting 911 during emergency situations.
• Secure exterior doors, monitor security equipment, and maintain campus access control.
• Monitor vehicle traffic and enforce campus safety policies.
• Investigate, document, and complete reports for incidents, accidents, and unusual occurrences.
• Identify safety hazards and submit maintenance requests as needed.
• Maintain familiarity with emergency systems, fire panels, utility shut-offs, and campus safety procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and team members.
• Support residents with non-emergency service requests while maintaining security priorities.
• Assist leadership during emergency situations and other campus needs as directed.
