Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.

• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and regulations.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a front desk by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify IDs and access, issue visitor credentials, and maintain records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and security systems from the front desk, report issues per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly, contact appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Assist with reception duties, answer phones, give directions, and communicate professionally with staff and leadership.

As a Security Officer - Overnight Lobby in SCOTTSDALE, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Your visible presence will help support a secure environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a front desk in a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Assist with reception duties, including answering phones, providing directions, and communicating professionally with employees, guests, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
