Job summary

Allied Universal in Dayton, OH is seeking a Security Officer Overnight Driver Patrol to safeguard clients at a chemical and petrochemical site. This part-time position offers a consistent overnight schedule (Mon–Tue 10:00 PM–06:00 AM) with a pay rate of $20.25 per hour.

You will greet visitors, manage access, monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and coordinate with contractors and delivery personnel.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by Allied Universal.
• Criminal history considered per applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Manage the front desk and access-control process by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining required entry records.
• Monitor security-related systems, alarms, and communications equipment, and promptly report unusual conditions or access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site emergency procedures and communicating with emergency responders and/or management as needed.
• Assist with contractor and delivery coordination, direct authorized personnel to designated areas, and help to deter unauthorized access through professional presence and adherence to site procedures.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
