Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

As a Security Officer Overnight Building Patrol in Urbandale, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
