Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites applications for a Part-Time Security Officer in Irvine, CA. You will help monitor and protect a manufacturing/industrial site, assist with access control, and provide excellent customer service.

The role offers a flexible late-evening schedule with weekend shifts and opportunities to claim additional hours through our Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Pay Rate: $26.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
