Responsibilities

• Diligent patrols of the campus interior and perimeter.
• Proficient documentation of every shift through daily activity reports.
• Responding to and documenting workplace-related injuries and incidents.
• Managing access control across campus facilities.
• Arming the alarm panels per standard operating procedures.

Security Officer

Must be open to all shifts. Anticipating and responding to the ever‑changing demands of the security and safety of our people. Full‑time position would be overnights.

Duties

• Diligent patrols of the campus interior and perimeter using a mobile guard patrol system
• Including but not limited to offsite facilities
• Proficient documentation of every shift through daily activity reports
• Responding to and documenting workplace‑related injuries and incidents
• Managing access control across campus facilities
• Arming the alarm panels with regards to our standard operating procedures

Physical Demands

• Incumbents are regularly required to use hands, talk, and hear
• Frequently required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and smell
• Occasionally required to stand, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Required to mount and dismount vehicles
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
