Job summary

Securitas is seeking a Security Officer in Reno, NV to safeguard people, property and information for client sites. You will patrol, monitor entrances, report incidents, and provide excellent customer service with professionalism.

We offer full-time, part-time and flex schedules with a wage range of $16.00 to $20.00 per hour. Candidates should be reliable, punctual and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Secure entrances / patrol inside and outside the client’s premises.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Provide detailed written witness reports.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
