Job summary

Culver Academies in Culver, IN, seeks a Security Officer to protect students, staff, and campus property. You will monitor premises, respond to incidents, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, be at least 21, hold a valid Indiana driver’s license, and willingness to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends. Training will be provided as needed, and responders operate within Campus Safety/Security authority.

• Campus patrol by foot, bicycle, or vehicle; check and secure buildings; investigate reports of suspicious activities to maintain a safe, crime-free campus environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Security Officer will ensure the safety and security of persons and CEF property. They will respond to emergency and non-emergency situations or conditions and provide assistance or take actions appropriate to the situation within the legal limits of Campus Safety/Security authority. This position requires security surveillance of Culver Academies, including campus patrol by foot, bicycle, or vehicle, checking and securing buildings, investigating reports of suspicious activities, and striving towards a safe, crime-free campus environment.

REQUIREMENTS

The requirements for this position include a High School Diploma/GED, must be at least 21 years old, must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license with a good driving record, and be willing to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and special events. Emergency Medical training is not required for employment, but the applicant will be required to complete training as soon as possible.
