Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Ridgedale, MO seeks a Loss Prevention Officer to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. You will patrol property, monitor surveillance, inspect entry points and respond to alarms.

The role requires at least two years in Loss Prevention, ability to read and report, and a valid license. You'll work with a team to deter theft and protect assets while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Two years related experience and/or training in Loss Prevention.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and hold Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol premises and monitor surveillance equipment.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points; permit entry.
  • Direct traffic and restrain trespassers as needed.
  • Complete reports recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and requests for service.
  • Comply with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Summary

Responsibilities
  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
  • Controls traffic by directing drivers.
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
  • Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
  • Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
  • Responds to alarms, emergencies and requests for service.
  • Will perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience

At least two years related experience and/or training in Loss Prevention.

Language Skills

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Missouri class E or Arkansas P designated driver's license and a safe driving record is required. Ongoing verification of driving eligibility will be conducted to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Must be at least 18 years old to qualify for this position.

Ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
