Qualifications

• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen may be required where allowed by law.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a public cultural institution.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public spaces, offices, loading areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, visitor flow, and restricted areas; verify credentials and direct guests per site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

• Mon 11:30 AM - 05:15 PM
• Tue 10:45 AM - 06:15 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat 09:45 AM - 07:15 PM
• Sun 09:45 AM - 07:15 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a public cultural institution.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Maintain detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations or security‑related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
