Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for multi-building residential patrols in New York. The role includes unarmed patrols, resident and staff interaction, and enforcing site policies to deter incidents.

The position is full-time with day and night shifts, including weekends. You will monitor access points, respond to incidents, and document activities while providing excellent customer service and communication to residents and visitors.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and property perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with residential property policies.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
