Job summary

NFM is seeking a Security Officer in Cedar Park, TX to provide an authoritative presence, protect people and property, and deter theft. You will greet customers, assist staff, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents while maintaining a safe shopping environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and basic Microsoft Office knowledge. Training in response to resistance and first aid will be provided within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to engage customers professionally.

• Stamina to stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Complete NFM Response to Resistance and First Responder training within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain a non-commissioned security officer license within 30 days.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours as needed.
• Pre-employment screening includes drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, visitors and vendors and assist them in locating staff.
• Assist customers with electric handicapped shopping carts and wheelchairs.
• Monitor and tag property brought into the stores.
• React to incidents such as shoplifting, medical emergencies and weather events.
• Patrol facilities and parking areas; direct traffic during events; enforce parking regulations.
• Assist customers with vehicle break-downs and cart retrieval from parking areas.
• Conduct preliminary investigations, audits and security surveys and document findings.

Your Piece of the Puzzle NFM is looking for a Security Officer to provide an authoritative presence to ensure a safe and secure environment, while protecting company property and staff.

Job Duties

A Day in the Life

• Greet: Welcome all customers, visitors and vendors and assist them in locating staff within the stores
• Support: Issue electric handicapped shopping carts to customers and provide assistance in obtaining wheel chairs and shopping carts
• Monitor: Examine and properly tag property being brought into the stores
• Assess: React as necessary and assist in handling any situations - shoplifting, medical emergencies and inclement weather
• Patrol: Watch facilities and parking areas on foot or in a vehicle. Direct traffic during special events or heavy customer traffic, while enforcing parking regulationsAssist: Help customers and staff with vehicle break-downs and lock-outs and retrieve shopping carts from parking areas
• Report: Conduct preliminary investigations, audits and security surveys and document the findings
