POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure the safety and security of guests, team members, and Company assets. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.

This Security Officer position at Morgan Wallen's This Bar has openings for day and night shifts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Practice, support, and promote company-wide culture and demonstrate TCRG Service Standards at all times.
  • Respond to and assist in all emergencies.
  • Patrol assigned areas and observe, or stand at assigned posts to maintain order among guests, team members, and Company property.
  • Respond to disturbances to defuse situations; be prepared for physical confrontations if necessary. Always remain alert.
  • Observe, report, and take action on suspicious or unusual situations and undesirable guests.
  • Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Document incidents in detailed reports related to property, guests, and team members as directed.
  • Act as a role model and encourage others to uphold company standards.
  • Have a working knowledge of applicable laws and policies for enforcement.
  • Promote positive public relations and create an enjoyable atmosphere for guests.
  • Maintain high personal integrity and moral conduct.
  • Provide a guest experience that exceeds expectations and builds loyalty.
  • Support teamwork and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Maintain grooming and uniform standards; overall appearance should be immaculate.
  • Display friendly and courteous behavior at all times.
  • Be aware of and handle guest opportunities.
  • Report incidents and conduct area checks to a Security Supervisor.
  • Know safety and emergency protocols.
  • Prevent indecent behavior, disturbances, and property damage; assist with guest ejections as needed.
  • Handle environmental factors like noise, smoke, and stress in a nightlife setting.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Follow best practices when assigned to screening and checkpoints.
  • Testify in court as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Work may be indoors or outdoors; capable of withstanding high temperatures, heat, and sun exposure.
  • Work may be in hot, cold, noisy environments or small areas; tasks performed from sitting and standing positions.
  • Tasks include maintenance and care of assigned areas and may involve chemical usage.
  • Constant contact with guests and team members is required.
  • Ability to use portable radios and headsets.
  • Willingness to work in loud and smoke-filled environments.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1-2 years of security field experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills in written and verbal forms.
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office suite).
  • No criminal convictions requiring registration.
  • Monthly refreshers on ID Training, Incident Reporting, and CPR.
