Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Deterrence in Nashville, TN, to protect clients across healthcare facilities and other industries. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide a welcoming environment for patients and staff while delivering excellent customer service.

The role emphasizes visible presence, incident reporting, and coordination with site contacts to uphold safety and security standards in a dynamic facility setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted in line with federal, state and local laws.
• Criminal histories considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner per reporting/escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, entrances, parking areas, and restricted-access areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and maintain incident, patrol and visitor documentation.
• Communicate clearly with site personnel and promptly report security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare services location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, entrances, parking areas, and restricted-access areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and promptly reporting security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
