Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Afternoon Distribution Center Patrol in Oceanside, CA. You will safeguard clients, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, and provide exceptional customer service, representing Allied Universal’s values.

The role requires at least six months of security experience, access control familiarity, and the ability to respond to incidents calmly. Shift hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at a logistics site.

Qualifications

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, entrances, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor site access points and observe the movement of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with established procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
