Part- Time Security Officer - Midnight Shift

Our Security department is currently seeking a Part Time Security Officer who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience. In order to reach our goals at The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium, we need great people who believe in and will strive to achieve our goals and objectives.

We are currently seeking a midnight shift security officer. The Toledo Zoo’s security team plays a critical role in safeguarding the property, guests, staff, animals and zoo assets. This role includes monitoring vital systems, responding to service calls, conducting patrols, and assisting with special events. From monitoring air and water temperatures at exhibits to overseeing surveillance systems and fire suppression alarms. Officers will conduct foot, mobile, and bike patrols to assist guests and staff. Additional duties include securing the zoo through lock-ups, cash escorts and medical runs while maintaining accurate security records.

This position reports to the Assistant Director of Security Operations with general oversight by the Security Supervisor. This position is non-exempt part-time position under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
