Job Description

Now Hiring Full Time Security Officers for Hospital in Nashville, TN!

• $20.20 / hour
• Must have availability to work overnights and weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with carrying a taser
• Comfortable with restraining when needed, dealing with combative patients
• Transporting patients to the morgue when needed

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document observations of unusual conditions
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation and restraining of patients when necessary
• Transport patients to the morgue, as needed
• Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room
• Assist with evacuations during emergencies
• Sound alarms or call police/fire in case of fire or unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of infractions and monitor entrances/exits
• Ensure only authorized persons enter and exit; prevent contraband
• Observe personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper property removal
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports

Qualifications (must Have)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license if driving
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience in customer service or protective services
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to operate communication equipment
• Cordial interaction and communication skills
• Effective problem-solving and observation skills
• Ability to mediate conflicts tactfully
• Clear and accurate writing skills
• Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Military or law enforcement experience
• Graduate of a Public Safety Academy
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice
• 8+ years of military service
• Associate’s degree or higher in related fields with military service
