Allied Universal in Lewiston, ID is seeking a Security Officer Patrol (unarmed) to safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors in a healthcare environment. You will patrol assigned areas, deter security incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

The role requires 6 months of security experience, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience or more.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Age restrictions: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following security procedures and location policies.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, giving directions and assistance.
• Document incidents and patrol activity and relay information to leadership.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and contractor activity in accordance with location policies, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and location personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Preferred: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Preferred: CPR and First Aid certification.
• Preferred: Customer service experience.
• Preferred: Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
