Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol in Lewiston, ID to safeguard patients, visitors and staff in a healthcare setting. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access points and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Day schedules include daytime and weekend shifts; pay is $18.00 per hour. Eligible candidates have at least 6 months security experience, HS diploma or equivalent, and background check; CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• Security-related experience required (minimum 6 months).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; assist with directions, escort requests, and access-control procedures as assigned.
• Document observations, incidents, and completed activities accurately; communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
