As a **Security Officer - Media Patrol** in **Totowa, NJ** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, assisting with customer service needs, and maintaining open communication with staff and visitors. You will contribute to a positive environment by acting with integrity, working collaboratively with your team, and upholding a people-first approach in all interactions.

**Position Type: Part Time**

**Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour**

**Job Schedule:**

**Day** **Time**

Sat07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Sun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to clients by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the technology, media, and telecom location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.

+ Assist with access control and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.

+ Support emergency response activities and follow established protocols during incidents.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ At least 2 years of security experience is required.

+ New Jersey Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.

+ Loss prevention experience is preferred.

+ A valid guard card or security license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
