Job summary

United Security Inc. in Providence, RI is seeking a Full-time Security Officer - Access Control. The role pays $20.00-$21.00 per hour, with a raise to $21 after 6 months, and follows a 2pm-10pm weekday schedule plus 6am-2pm weekend shifts.

The ideal candidate will guard property, patrol grounds, enforce security regulations, and monitor for hazards, while maintaining professionalism and good judgment. A High School Diploma and a valid Driver's License are required, with pre-employment screenings

Job Skills / Requirements

Full-time Security Officer - Access Control $20/hour - raise to $21 after 6 months

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 2 pm - 10 pm

Saturday and Sunday 6 am to 2 pm

Security Officer Responsibilities and Duties:

• Guards property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Patrols buildings and grounds to ensure people and property are safe and secure.
• Preserves order and enforces security regulations.
• Watches for and reports conditions that could result in injury or loss due to fire hazards, leaking pipes, spills, faulty equipment, etc.
• Use of oral de-escalation methods to control disagreements.
• All other job duties as related or assigned by USI Management.

Security Officer Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent sense of judgment.
• Can stay alert at all times.
• Candidates must also be able to successfully pass ALL pre-employment screenings.
