Job summary

United Security Inc. in Providence, RI, is seeking a Full-time Security Officer focused on Access Control. Compensation starts at $20/hour with a raise to $21 after 6 months, and the schedule is Monday–Friday, 2 pm–10 pm.

A high school diploma and driver’s license are required, with opportunities for growth within a supportive team. The role involves guarding property, patrolling, enforcing regulations, and reporting hazards.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 lbs.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Excellent sense of judgment.
• Able to stay alert at all times.
• Must successfully pass all pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Guards property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Patrols buildings and grounds to ensure people and property are safe and secure.
• Preserves order and enforces security regulations.
• Watches for and reports conditions that could result in injury or loss due to hazards.
• Uses oral de-escalation methods to control disagreements.
• All other duties assigned by USI Management.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 2 pm - 10 pm

Security Officer Responsibilities and Duties:

• Guards property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Patrols buildings and grounds to ensure people and property are safe and secure.
• Preserves order and enforces security regulations.
• Watches for and reports conditions that could result in injury or loss due to fire hazards, leaking pipes, spills, faulty equipment, etc.
• Use of oral de-escalation methods to control disagreements.
• All other job duties as related or assigned by USI Management.

Security Officer Qualifications and Skills:
