Job summary

Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Security Officer Loss Prevention for a part-time schedule. You will provide customer service, monitor access, respond to incidents, and conduct patrols at a technology-focused site.

The role emphasizes reporting, safety, and adherence to procedures; HS diploma required with background check and optional CPR/First Aid training. Weekend shifts on Sat 2:00 PM–10:00 PM and Sun 6:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen are required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and others at a technology-focused site.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeter.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and notify contacts of concerns.

Job Description

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or deliveries in accordance with site requirements, helping to maintain an orderly environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document and communicate observations according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and notify appropriate contacts of security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
