Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Logistics - Unarmed in Sumter, SC. This part‑time position offers evening and weekend shifts at an automotive manufacturing site, with responsibilities including access control, incident reporting, and visitor management.

You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, perform regular patrols, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner. A valid driver’s license is required and background checks apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
