Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites applicants for the Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening position in Sauget, IL. This role offers reliable hours at an assigned site with the option to earn more by picking up extra shifts.

The pay rate is $17.98 per hour. The schedule includes night shifts Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, with a six-month anchor commitment and the Earn More program to boost earnings across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures, including monitoring access points and inspecting authorized items as required.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic, shipping and receiving areas, and package handling operations for unusual activity or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, docks, and access points, documenting observations and security‑related incidents.

Pay Rate: $17.98 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
