Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe seeks a Lead Security Officer to perform security duties, supervise officers, and deliver Guest Services aligned with K.E.E.P. standards.

This role requires hands-on leadership, training responsibilities, and incident management within a hotel-casino environment. Responsibilities include supervising security staff, providing training, assisting management with administrative duties, and ensuring compliance with state gaming and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; gaming license required by Nevada law.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
• Read, interpret, and apply English-language documents and policies.

Overview

It is the responsibility of the Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe Lead Security Officer to perform all the duties and responsibilities of a Security Officer, as well as the supervision and training of officers and performing basic and advanced security functions and Guest Services for Golden Nugget/Landry’s Inc. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

• Ability to properly use security equipment such as two-way radio, handcuffs, etc.
• Must successfully complete American Red Cross or Equivalent CPR certification.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.

*PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A GAMING LICENSE BY THE NEVADA GAMING CONTROL BOARD

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Two or more years of experience in military, law enforcement or gaming security or experience in any of the listed security disciplines, within a hotel/casino preferred.

Two or more years of customer service experience preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic math skills.

Language Skills:

Must be able to speak and understand English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
• Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
• Frequently stooping, reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
• Work with others in close spaces.
• Moderate to high noise levels.
• Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.

USD $20.50 - USD $21.50 /Hr.
