Job summary

Allied Universal®, the leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Patrol in Philadelphia, PA. This full-time role pays $17.25 per hour and involves unarmed patrols, responding to incidents, and delivering excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors at a higher education location.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors.
• Communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming campus environment.
• Be able to respond to incidents and emergencies following campus protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, and surrounding property to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and campus information, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus stakeholders.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in PHILADELPHIA, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, faculty, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming campus environment.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
