Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Act 235 Patrol in Philadelphia, PA. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide customer service to tenants and staff at a commercial real estate site. Requires armed guard card/license and Act 235 qualification.

Minimum requirements include a concealed carry permit, background check, and a drug screen where permitted. This is a full-time position with a Monday–Friday 10:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule and $30.00 per hour pay.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Perform regular armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and assist with visitors and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and report accurately.
• Carry required equipment and prepare incident and activity reports.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor, vendor, and delivery procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders; prepare accurate incident and activity reports.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
