• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be proficient in the use of handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of public areas, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate incident and activity documentation.
• Assist with traffic, crowd, and public-event support as assigned, while maintaining a professional presence and communicating clearly with site representatives and emergency responders.

As a Security Officer - Inmate Processor and Transporter in Signal Hill, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. • Sun: 08:30 PM - 04:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Be proficient in the use of handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
