Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Incident Observer for our Houston, TX location. You will patrol, deter unauthorized activity, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel at a logistics and distribution site.

The role requires compliance with site policies, routine reporting, and readiness to respond to incidents and alarms with calm, professional action. This is a full-time position offering $15.16 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required depending on state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity; verify access credentials and direct individuals according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, problem-solving actions and notify appropriate contacts or responders.
• Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports and access-control records per Allied Universal procedures.

As a Security Officer Incident Observer in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic logistics and distribution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify access credentials and direct individuals according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and access-control records in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
