Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Incident Assessment in Des Moines, IA to monitor and safeguard clients across food and beverage locations and other facilities. You will patrol, maintain a visible presence, verify access, and report security concerns with professionalism.

As a Security Officer Patrol Incident Assessment in Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine rounds, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, perimeter points, and shipping/receiving locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required logs, and direct individuals in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Support adherence to facility procedures for employee, visitor, and vehicle traffic while maintaining a professional presence in varying food production and distribution environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
