Job summary

GardaWorld Security is seeking a Tactical Security Officer in Madison, WI. You will patrol various sites, control access, and quickly respond to incidents to protect people and property.

Requirements include U.S. work authorization, a HS diploma or GED, ability to pass screening, and standing/walking for shifts. First aid is a plus; state licenses apply where required. Uniforms provided; competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must pass extensive screening
• First aid certification is an asset
• Must be able to stand and walk for the entire shift
• Security, Military or Law Enforcement experience is advantageous
• State license if required

Responsibilities

• Foot/vehicle patrols to spot suspicious activity
• Radio communication
• Lock/unlock buildings per site requirements
• Verify identities and control access
• Respond quickly to threats or incidents
• Check alarms and cameras for proper functioning
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure safety and protection of people and property

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential, as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

• Site Location: Madison, WI 53704
• Part-time, Thursday and Friday, 2nd shift 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.
• Part-time, Monday and Tuesday, 3rd shift 12 a.m. to 8 a.m.
• Full-time, Sunday through Thursday, 1st shift 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Full-time, Friday and Saturday, 1st shift 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday and Monday, 2nd shift 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.
• Competitive hourly wage of $ 18 / Hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

Responsibilities of Tactical Security Guard

• Foot patrols/Mobile patrols sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Radio communication
• Locking and unlocking buildings, depending on site requirements
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications of Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a state license if required
