Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of full-time security experience.
• Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, observation, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings, grounds, parking areas, and other designated locations during each shift to identify safety or security concerns.
• Monitor activity via surveillance cameras and direct observation; respond to incidents and provide assistance as needed.
• Assist with admission of new patients, check patient belongings and clothing per procedures, and ensure safety guidelines are followed.
• Transport patients to appointments or assist with discharges using facility vans; back up other departments as needed.

Job Title: Full-Time Security Officer III

Shifts Available: B Shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) and C Shift (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM) – work every other weekend

Annual Salary: $26,185.60 per year, paid twice monthly

Job Description:

The Security Officer III plays an important role in maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment for patients, employees, visitors, and facility property. This position does not require carrying a weapon and may work independently or alongside another security officer. Responsibilities include conducting routine patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and other designated locations throughout each shift to identify and address potential safety or security concerns.

Security Officers monitor facility activity through surveillance cameras and direct observation, respond to incidents, and provide assistance as needed. This role works closely with patient care teams by offering support on patient units and helping maintain a secure environment. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the admission process for new patients, checking patient belongings and clothing in accordance with facility procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.

The Security Officer III also transports patients to and from appointments or assists with patient discharges by operating facility vans. This position serves as backup support for other departments and roles when needed and performs additional duties as assigned to support daily operations and patient care.

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of relevant full-time security experience
