Job summary

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a Security Officer to support Administration by maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients and staff across all entities. The role requires independence, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and at least 2 years of security experience, preferably in a hospital setting.

The position offers a pay range of $16.61–$21.09 per hour and requires BLS certification within 90 days and a Florida Class E Driver's License.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications allowed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 90 days.
• Florida Driver's License (Class E Non-Commercial) is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of security experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Completion of BHSF security training during probation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and staff across Baptist Health entities.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and follow security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with security teams as needed.
