Job summary

Compassion International is seeking an experienced Security Officer to monitor facilities, control access, and protect staff and guests in accordance with the organization’s values. The role emphasizes safeguarding children and compliance with the ministry’s Code of Conduct and protection policies.

The position requires a Colorado Concealed Carry Permit and 2+ years of security-related experience. The officer will respond to incidents, coordinate with law enforcement, and support emergency

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Concealed Carry Permit holder.
• 2+ years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, or military environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and acts as a consistent witness while upholding Compassion's ministry in prayer.
• Advocates to raise awareness of children’s needs and prioritizes child protection in all decisions and activities.
• Monitors activities at locations during/after hours, controls access and observes for security issues; prepares written reports as needed.
• Ensures access practices by checking IDs, escorting guests, and denying access to unauthorized persons.
• Provides professional customer service while overseeing related security activities.
• Notifies management of security weaknesses and assists in developing procedures for handling sensitive data.
• Observes and reports activity to protect property and people; coordinates with authorities as required.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates with authorities; assists in evacuations and maintains training in CPR/first aid.
• Provides technical advice to other officers when needed.
