Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• IAHSS Basic Security Officer Training must be completed within six months.
• Texas Driver's License and BLS from a hospital-based AHA program.
• SAMA certification or equivalent; recertify as SAMA upon expiration.
• Registered by the Texas Private Security Bureau within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol, protect and secure Harris Health System buildings and grounds; promote safety at all locations.
• Respond to crisis activations and assist medical staff with restraint as requested.
• Promote safety and security practices across all Harris Health locations.
• Support security operations during disasters and other emergencies.
