Qualifications

• IAHSS Basic Security Officer Training within six months of employment.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• BLS from a hospital-based AHA program.
• SAMA certification or equivalent within 30 days; recertify as SAMA upon expiration if another cert is held.
• Registered by the Texas Private Security Bureau within 90 days of employment.
• One year of experience in security, healthcare, or related fields.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with MS Word, PC-based systems and related software.

Responsibilities

• Patrol, protect, and secure Harris Health System buildings and grounds.
• Promote safety and security across all Harris Health locations.
• Respond to crisis intervention activations; assist staff with patient restraint as requested.
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure safety during incidents.
