Job summary

AdventHealth in Apopka, Florida is seeking a full-time security professional to patrol hospital grounds, protect patients and staff, and respond to emergencies with vigilance and compassion. You will monitor access points, perform risk assessments, and coordinate with medical teams to ensure a safe environment.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of security experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to de-escalate conflicts while following hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Interpret safety rules, codes and policies.

• Operate vehicles and security equipment safely.
• Computer literacy with basic security applications.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas and maintains life safety standards.
• Investigates suspicious activity and reports hazards.
• Responds to emergency, non-emergency, and alarm calls.
• Administers initial first aid as trained.
• Intercedes in disputes using de-escalation techniques.
• Unlocks buildings after verifying access.
• Monitors traffic and interviews individuals involved in incidents.
• Documents safety hazards and incidents.
• Other duties as assigned.
