Job Summary: Provides security services for the University of Utah’s Main Campus community including: locking and unlocking buildings, patrolling campus, writing reports, assisting motorists, documenting patrol activities, and covering stationary posts. Responsibilities may include operating vehicles and using programs such as Avigilon, CCURE, Teams, and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, GED or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and one year of security experience or equivalency; successfully pass a background check; demonstrated communication skills; and a commitment to providing excellent customer service required. A valid Utah Driver’s License must be obtained within 6 months of hire. The incumbent will be required to obtain Crisis Prevention Institute certification (CPI) after being hired and attend other mandatory trainings as determined by the Department of Public Safety.
