The North Mississippi Regional Center in Oxford has provided comprehensive services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1973. The Center is licensed by the Mississippi Department of Health as an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (ICF/IID) and is certified for Medicaid participation. It serves the northern 32 counties of Mississippi, offering residential, active treatment services, and community supports through various programs, including Support Coordination, Targeted Case Management, Community Enrichment Programs, and the Technology Assistive Device Center. The center also provides assessments and evaluations through its Diagnostic Services Department.
This is second-level security work involving patrolling and protecting public property and equipment against loss or damage from theft, fire, vandalism, or other causes. The role includes maintaining order in a state facility, investigating reports of disturbances and suspicious circumstances, and maintaining records and reports. Employees apply knowledge and experience to analyze situations and respond appropriately.
