Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs essential security functions to protect Ridgeview Medical Center assets.
• Patrols and provides escorts at assigned locations.
• Fulfill key responsibilities during the organization’s emergency plans.
• Respond to security emergencies and service calls as needed.
• Monitors building security systems such as cameras and access controls.
• Operates equipment including radio, emergency vehicle, and use of force gear.
• Addresses policy non-compliance related to safety, smoking, parking.
• Complete required training (ASP, MOAB, Taser, ICS 100 & 200, etc.).
• Complete daily logs and incident reports; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Functions

• Performs essential security functions to protect the assets of Ridgeview Medical Center from loss, damage, and /or unauthorized access.
• Patrols and provides escorts at assigned locations.
• Fulfill key responsibilities during organization’s implementation of emergency plans.
• Respond to security emergencies as well as various calls for service and assist as needed.
• Monitors critical building security systems such as camera, alarms, access controls, etc.
• Maintains and properly operates equipment including radio, emergency vehicle, and assigned use of force equipment.
• Cities non-compliance related to administrative policies such as smoking, parking and regulations related to safety and security.
• Successfully complete all required training (ASP, MOAB, Taser, ICS 100 & 200, etc.)
• Complete daily logs and incident reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age to meet Ridgeview's insurability requirements.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
• Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in the English language and respond accordingly in order to complete job functions as mentioned above

License/Certifications

• CPR/First Aid within 6 months of hire
• Valid MN driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

• International Association of Healthcare Safety Security (IAHSS) Basic Level
• Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) (within 6 months of hire)
• Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200 (within 1 year of hire)
• Completion of recognized curriculums (STORM, CPI, etc.)
• TASER, ASP, Repuls/AIP, Management of Aggressive Behaviors (M.O.A.B)
