Responsibilities

This role involves performing security activities to protect persons, property, and equipment from hazards, unauthorized access, and volatile individuals. Responsibilities include patrolling hospital campuses and clinics, investigating incidents, controlling access, monitoring alarm systems, supporting helistop operations, de-escalating or restraining individuals, and documenting actions.

Essential Job Duties

• Provide property protection and deter criminal activity through visible patrols.
• Offer customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Coordinate with law enforcement regarding criminal activities.
• Complete documentation accurately and participate in ongoing security training.
• Restrain or de-escalate individuals as necessary, involving management when appropriate.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements

• Six months of security, healthcare, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid Washington State Driver's License with a clean five-year driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Licensure/Certification

• Valid Washington State driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• IAHSS Basic Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Training in handcuffs, pepper spray, control shield, and BLS within 60 days of hire, with recertification every two years.
