Position Overview:

We are hiring Full-time Security Officers for the Lincoln Area. You will maintain the facility's security by checking in visitors, vendors, and contractors. In a hospital environment, you will also conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Additional duties include controlling access and egress, monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, composing reports, and deterring criminal activity and misconduct. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and security.

Job Details:

• Pay Rate: $23.00 / hour
• Schedule: Multiple Shifts Available
• Duties: Foot Patrol, CCTV Monitoring, and Access Control.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Must have 2+ years of experience in military, law enforcement, or security. (REQUIRED NO Exceptions)
• Skills: Must have excellent skills in using technology devices.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions and obtain required vaccinations.

Responsibilities:

1. Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity
2. Patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, blocked entryways, security violations, mechanical problems, and unauthorized individuals
3. Orally and physically de-escalating individuals, as needed
4. Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment
5. Screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite their admittance to the facility
6. Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, or inclement weather with calm urgency
7. May also include patient escort, patient watch, provide safety escort, assist and/or transport deceased to morgue

Minimum Requirements:

1. Prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations
2. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
3. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
4. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
5. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
6. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
7. Post offer, must be able to successfully complete the training requirement and obtain a Management of Aggressive Behavior certification.
