About the Job:

Our Main Campus and West Campus have security guards on duty 24-hours a day, 7-days a week.

Our Officers provide a safe and secure patient care environment by conducting safety/security rounds, emergency/crisis management, access control, and prevention of crimes against people and property.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Conduct Security/Safety rounds of the facility twice during shift. Document findings, identify and correct discrepancies and hazards, and test alarm systems.
  2. Assist in the management of aggressive/combative patients. Assist licensed clinical staff in the application of restraints. Monitor high-risk patients awaiting disposition in the ED. Understand and apply the Medical Center’s “Use of Force” policy.
  3. Provide required documentation of security department incidents and activity. Describe and produce clear, concise reports of an incident and record in a daily activity log.
  4. Facilitate the use of emergency evacuation heliport and understand policies governing use. Use knowledge of ground safety training as required.
  5. Act as the first responder for Hazardous Material emergencies. Conduct immediate assessment of situation, isolate hazard appropriately, and activate outside resources (NPD/NFR) as needed.

Who You Are:

  1. High school graduate required.
  2. Must acquire key personal safety skills within 90 days of employment (i.e., handcuff, pepper spray, crisis intervention). Must have or be able to attend CPI training program.
  3. Must have a valid driver’s license for mobile patrol of the facility.
  4. One to two years of related security experience.
