Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer for a hospital site in Atlanta, GA. The role involves patrolling, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering exceptional customer service while upholding site policies and safety procedures.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $21.00 per hour. The schedule includes nights from Tuesday to Saturday, with responsibilities ranging from incident response to detailed reporting to leadership

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology, media, and telecommunications facilities, surrounding grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures; report unauthorized access concerns and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
